Much like Rod and Leveller, The Surveyor focused on RPI student activities such as parties and a class supper, ladies of the Troy Female Seminary, a deceased student, elections, rushes, a geological tour, and the like. It also solicited literary contributions. Only five issues are held in the Archives collection.
